Art and emotion

big-hero-six

This morning I took my daughter to watch Big Hero 6. After an hour and a half of alternating between laughing and crying our eyes out, we stumbled out of the cinema in an emotional daze. It’s been hours, and we haven’t quite recovered yet. There is a magical beauty to losing yourself in a story.

A good story, whether in book form, movie form, painted form, or around the campfire, has this wonderfully bizarre ability to transport us out of our world and into a new one.

This movie reminded me that the art of telling a great story or producing a piece of art that touch people is a truly marvelous thing.
